Chessington started a long, long time ago, in 1931, as just a zoo! Can you believe it? It was called Chessington Zoo back then. Later, they decided to add lots of fun rides and make it a theme park too. It opened as a theme park in 1987, which is over 35 years ago! Now, it's a huge resort with hotels, pools, and even a spa, making it a fantastic place for families to stay and play.
