Charles II, Duke of Lorraine

Imagine a leader from a long, long time ago, named Charles II. He was the Duke of Lorraine, which meant he was in charge of a special place. He was also called 'the Bold' because he was super brave! He lived a very long time ago, from 1365 to 1431. That's even before your grandparents' grandparents were born!

Charles II wasn't just sitting around. He went on a big adventure called the Barbary Crusade, which was like a very important mission in a faraway land. He also fought in a big battle called Nicopolis. He even helped other brave knights called the Teutonic Knights in a place called Livonia. He was always ready for action!

During a long fight called the Hundred Years War, Charles II wanted to be friends with the King of France. He was so important that the Queen of France, named Isabella, made him the Constable. This was a very big job, like being the head general of the army! He was a very busy and important person.

Even though he was called 'the Bold,' Charles II had a bit of a disagreement with his nephew. They had a war that didn't really have a winner. After all his adventures and being a leader, Charles II passed away in 1431. His life was full of bravery and important jobs.
