How Did This Awesome Place Get Made?
A little while ago, two smaller places, Gosford and Wyong, decided to join forces and become one big, amazing area. It was like two best friends deciding to be a super-team! This happened on May 12, 2016. Now, this combined place is called the Central Coast Council, and it's a much bigger and stronger place for everyone to enjoy. It's a newer place, but it holds lots of stories!

Guess what? Over 346,000 people call the Central Coast Council home! That's like filling up a giant stadium with people, over and over again! These people love living near the ocean and enjoying all the natural beauty. They have lots of different jobs, but many probably love working near the water or in the towns. It's a busy and happy place with lots of families and friends.
Who's in Charge Here?
Just like your school has a principal, the Central Coast Council has leaders! The main leader is called the Mayor, and right now, that's Lawrie McKinna. There's also a Deputy Mayor, Douglas Eaton. They help make important decisions for everyone who lives there, making sure things run smoothly. They are like the captains of a big ship, guiding everyone safely!
