Budapest's Palace District

Budapest's Palace District is a special part of a big city called Budapest, in a country called Hungary. It's like a neighborhood where the most important and fancy buildings used to be. It's in the eastern half of Budapest, called Pest, and it's a super interesting place to learn about!

Before that, it was just fields outside the old city walls, like a big playground! It grew and grew, and now it's a part of the city called Józsefváros, named after a famous leader.

This place is called the Palace District because it used to be home to many grand palaces! These weren't just houses; they were huge buildings with lots of rooms, beautiful gardens, and fancy decorations. Imagine a palace as big as a whole school building, but much more decorated!
