Imagine a special club for young people who have Armenian grandparents! Birthright Armenia is like that. It's a program that helps young adults, between 21 and 32 years old, visit and help out in Armenia.
It's for people whose families come from Armenia, even if they live far away. They get to volunteer and learn all about their heritage. It’s a fantastic way to explore a new country and make a difference!
Where Did This Idea Come From?
This amazing idea started to help young Armenians who grew up in other countries, like America or France, to feel closer to Armenia. Many of them might not have visited before. Birthright Armenia helps them travel there and experience life in Armenia firsthand. It's like a bridge connecting people to their family's homeland. They want everyone to know about and love Armenia!
Why is Armenia So Special?
Armenia is a country with a super long history, full of amazing stories and beautiful places. Birthright Armenia helps people understand this history and culture. By volunteering, these young people can help with projects that make Armenia even better.
They might help in schools, with technology, or in community projects. It’s like giving the country a helping hand from its own family around the world!
How Do You Join the Fun?
To be part of Birthright Armenia, you need to be a young adult, between 21 and 32 years old. You also need to have at least one grandparent who is Armenian. You must have finished school, too. The program runs all year long, so there’s always a chance to go! It’s a wonderful opportunity to travel, volunteer, and discover your Armenian roots in a really meaningful way.
