Bill Gates

Bill Gates was born a long, long time ago, on October 28, 1955. He grew up in a city called Seattle in the United States. Even as a kid, Bill loved computers! He and his friend Paul Allen started a company called Microsoft when they were still young. They wanted to make computers easier for everyone to use. It all started with a dream to put a computer in every home and on every desk!

Bill and Paul started Microsoft in 1975. At first, it was like a small club in a garage! But their ideas were so good that Microsoft grew super fast. Soon, everyone wanted their computer programs. Bill Gates became one of the richest people in the world. He was so rich that he was the youngest billionaire ever when he was only 31! That's like being a billionaire before you even finish college!

Being super rich is cool, but Bill Gates decided to do something even cooler. He and his wife, Melinda, started a huge charity called the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They wanted to help people all over the world.

They give money to help doctors fight sicknesses like malaria and polio. They also help kids go to school and make sure people have enough food. It’s like having a superpower to help others!

Even though Bill Gates doesn't run Microsoft every day anymore, he's still super busy. He has other companies that work on big ideas, like making clean energy. He also started something called The Giving Pledge, where other rich people promise to give away most of their money to help others.

Bill Gates shows us that using your smarts and your money to help the world is one of the best things you can do.
