Betsy Arakawa

After her music adventures, Betsy tried new things. She even worked behind the scenes on a TV game show called 'Card Sharks'! Later, she and her husband opened a store that sold cozy linens and pretty things for your home. It was like a treasure chest of comfy blankets and decorations!

Betsy met her husband, Gene Hackman, and they became a team. She helped him with his books, which is pretty cool! They also worked together to run a yummy Asian restaurant. It shows that Betsy was good at many different things, from making music to running businesses.

Betsy's life had a very sad ending. She and her husband passed away in their home. Scientists found out that Betsy had a very rare and serious illness called hantavirus pulmonary syndrome. It's a reminder that even though life can be exciting, sometimes unexpected things happen.
