Beqaa Valley

The Beqaa Valley is like a big, green rug laid out in eastern Lebanon. It's a super important place for growing yummy food! Think of it as Lebanon's biggest farm. It's not just flat, though. It's squeezed between two huge mountain ranges, like a cozy hug from nature. This special spot gets lots of sunshine, making it perfect for plants to grow tall and strong.

This valley is really, really long! It stretches for about 120 kilometers, which is longer than 120 school buses lined up end-to-end! It's also about 16 kilometers wide, which is like running across a big park. It's a part of a much bigger crack in the Earth called the Great Rift Valley, which goes all the way to the Red Sea. Wow!

The weather here is pretty cool. In the summer, it's warm and dry, perfect for playing outside. But when winter comes, it gets cold, and sometimes it even snows! This mix of weather helps different kinds of plants grow. The sunshine helps them grow big, and the rain and snow give them a big drink of water.
