Australian Labor Party

The Australian Labor Party, or 'Labor' for short, is like a big team that works all over Australia! Imagine a giant island country with sunny beaches and tall mountains. Labor has helpers in every single state and even the places called territories.

They are like the captains of many of these places, making sure things run smoothly for everyone living there. It's a very big job for a very big country!

Guess what? Labor is the oldest team that's still playing the game of politics in Australia! They started way back on May 8, 1901. That's even older than your grandparents' grandparents! They were formed by people who wanted to make sure workers were treated fairly. They've been around so long, they've seen lots of changes in Australia, like new cars and even the internet!

Labor has helped Australia in many ways. They were the very first team in the whole world to be a government that was all about fairness for workers! They've been in charge of the country many times, helping to build schools and hospitals.
