AS Roma

AS Roma is a famous football club from the amazing city of Rome, Italy. Imagine a team that’s been playing for a super long time, almost as long as your grandparents! They wear bright red and yellow, like a sunny day, which is why people call them 'The Yellow and Reds'.

Their special symbol is a wolf, just like the one in the story about how Rome was founded. It’s like they have a bit of ancient magic in their team!

This team wasn't always AS Roma. A long, long time ago, in 1927, three different football teams decided to join together to make one super team. They wanted to be strong enough to win lots of games. They’ve played in the top league in Italy for almost their whole life, except for just one year. That shows they are really good at football and have been for many, many years!

AS Roma has won some really big trophies! They’ve won the Italian championship three times, which is like winning the biggest prize in their country. They’ve also won the Italian Cup nine times – wow!

And they’ve even won special games in Europe, like the UEFA Conference League. Plus, many players who played for AS Roma have also won the World Cup, which is the biggest football tournament in the whole world!

AS Roma plays their home games in a HUGE stadium called the Stadio Olimpico. It’s so big it can fit over 72,000 people – that’s more people than can fit in a giant school bus for every single seat! They share this stadium with another team from Rome, and when they play each other, it’s called the 'Derby della Capitale', which means the 'Derby of the Capital City'. It’s a super exciting game!
