Aragon

Aragon is a special place in the northeast of Spain, like a big puzzle piece! It's made up of three parts called provinces: Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel. The biggest and busiest city is Zaragoza, which is also the capital.

Think of it like the main playground where everyone meets! This land is home to Spain's largest river, the Ebro, which flows all the way across. It's also where you can find the tippy-top mountains of the Pyrenees!

Aragon is super diverse, meaning it has lots of different kinds of places. You can find snowy mountains with ice that never melts, and then just a little way away, there are green valleys with yummy fruit trees and fields for animals. It even has dry, grassy areas that look like a desert!

The whole region is about as big as the country of Denmark. It's a place where you can see snowy peaks and sunny fields all in one trip!

Aragon wasn't always called Aragon. A very, very long time ago, it was a kingdom with kings and queens! People lived here even before the Romans came.

Later, it was part of a big kingdom called the Crown of Aragon. Imagine a giant LEGO castle that kept getting bigger and changing shape over hundreds of years. Today, Aragon is still a special part of Spain, with its own history and traditions that make it unique.

About 1.3 million people call Aragon home. That's like filling up a very, very big stadium many times over! Most people live in the capital city, Zaragoza.

People in Aragon speak Spanish, and some also speak Aragonese or Catalan, which are like different dialects or cousins of Spanish. They have a rich culture with old stories, music, and delicious food, making it a vibrant place to live and visit.
