Who Were These Super Followers?

Imagine having a best friend who was super important and always with you. That's kind of like the Apostles! They were Jesus's closest friends and helpers.

Jesus chose them to learn all about his teachings and then tell everyone else. They were like his special team, learning from him every day and watching him do amazing things. They were the first ones to spread the word about Jesus's love and message.

When Did They Start Their Big Job?

This all happened a super long time ago, about 2,000 years back! Jesus picked his main helpers, called the Twelve Apostles, during his life. They traveled with him, listened to his stories, and saw him help people.

After Jesus went to heaven, these Apostles had an even bigger job. Eleven of them were sent out to share Jesus's message with people all over the world. It was like they got a special mission to go on an adventure!

Why Are They So Important?

These Apostles are super important because they helped start Christianity! They were the first ones to teach others about Jesus after he was gone. Think of them like the first teachers in a brand new school. They made sure Jesus's important messages about kindness and love were heard by many people. Without them, it would have been much harder for Jesus's teachings to spread so far and wide.

Did Anyone Else Join the Team?

Yes! Besides the main Twelve, there's a story about Jesus also choosing seventy other helpers. And guess what? Even someone named Paul, who didn't know Jesus when he was alive, became an Apostle later! Jesus appeared to him and gave him a special job to tell people, especially those who weren't Jewish, about his message. So, the team grew, and more people helped share the good news!
