Judas Iscariot

Imagine Jesus had a special group of 12 helpers called Apostles. Judas was one of them! He was chosen to be close to Jesus and learn from him. But something happened that made Judas famous for a very different reason. He was part of a big story that happened a long, long time ago, and people still talk about it today. One day, Judas made a choice that surprised everyone. He decided to tell some important people where Jesus was. He did this in exchange for 30 pieces of silver, which was a lot of money back then! It was like trading a treasure for a secret. He showed them by giving Jesus a kiss, like a special greeting, but it was a signal to arrest him in a garden called Gethsemane.

After Judas realized the big consequences of his choice, he felt very sad. He tried to give the money back, but the people who took it didn't want it. The story says he ended his own life. The money was then used to buy a special field, which became known as the 'Field of Blood' because it was bought with money that led to a lot of sadness and trouble.

Judas's story is remembered because it's about a very important moment in history. His actions led to Jesus being put on the cross, which is a central part of the Christian story. His name has become a word that means betrayal or being a traitor. It reminds us that even people who are close can make choices that have huge effects, and it's important to think about the choices we make.
