Who Was Antigonus the One-Eyed?
Imagine a super-strong soldier from a long, long time ago! That was Antigonus. He lived over 2,300 years ago, when Alexander the Great was a famous king.
Antigonus was one of Alexander's best generals. He was super brave and helped win many battles. He got the nickname 'Monophthalmus' because he only had one eye!
But that didn't stop him from being a great leader and eventually becoming a king himself.
A King's Big Adventures!
After Alexander the Great's kingdom broke apart, Antigonus wanted to put it back together. He was like a puzzle master, trying to gather all the pieces! He fought many wars against other generals who also wanted to rule.
He was very good at fighting and made himself the ruler of a huge area. He built cities and made laws, just like other kings. It was a very busy and sometimes dangerous life for him!

Antigonus was part of a super important time in history called the Hellenistic period. This was after Alexander the Great's adventures. Antigonus helped shape what happened to Alexander's empire. He was one of the most powerful rulers of his time. Even though he only had one eye, he saw a lot of the world and helped create new kingdoms that lasted for many years after he was gone.

Antigonus was born around 382 BC, a very, very long time ago! He was born in a place called Macedonia, which is in Europe. He fought for years and years, becoming a very important general. Sadly, he died in a big battle in 301 BC when he was about 81 years old. He was known for his ambition and his military skill. He left a big mark on ancient history!
