Almaty is a super big city in a country called Kazakhstan. It's so big that over two million people call it home! It sits at the bottom of tall mountains, like a cozy town snuggled up to a giant.

Two rivers, the Big Almaty and Small Almaty, flow right through the city, coming from the mountains. It's like having a natural water park right in your backyard! The city is also quite high up, about as high as a very tall building.
