Alan Rickman

Alan Rickman was a super talented actor from England. He had a voice that was deep and slow, like a rumble of thunder, and it made him famous! He loved acting so much that he went to a special school called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He acted in plays on stage, telling stories with his voice and his body. He was so good that people loved watching him perform, even before he was in movies!

Alan Rickman started his acting journey on the stage, but then he jumped into movies! His very first movie role was playing a bad guy named Hans Gruber in a film called Die Hard. He was so convincing as the villain that everyone remembered him!

Then, he played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, another famous bad guy. He was so good at playing characters that were a little bit naughty but also really interesting.

One of the most exciting things Alan Rickman did was play Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies! Snape was a mysterious teacher at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Alan Rickman made Snape seem both scary and sad, and he was a super important character in all eight Harry Potter films.

Kids all over the world loved seeing him on screen, and he helped make the magical world of Harry Potter feel real.

Even though Alan Rickman was amazing at playing villains, he also played really kind and funny characters! He was in a movie called Love Actually, where he played a husband who wasn't always very nice to his wife, but he learned to be better. He also played characters in stories that were funny, like in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

He showed everyone that he could play all sorts of different people!
