Key Facts
Where Do the Planes Live?
Imagine a giant airport where lots of Air India planes get ready for their adventures! Their main home is in Delhi, a super busy city. They also have other big homes in Bengaluru and Mumbai.
These places are like busy towns just for airplanes, where they get cleaned, fueled up, and checked to make sure they're ready to fly safely. It's like a big garage for the biggest flying machines you can imagine!
How Air India Got Its Wings!
Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, in 1932, a man named J. R. D.
Tata started a little airline called Tata Airlines. He even flew the very first plane himself, carrying letters from one city to another! Later, the government took over and called it Air India.
Then, they got a super-fast jet plane, which was a huge deal because it was the first one in all of Asia! It was like getting the fastest race car ever!
Meet the Maharajah!
Air India has a special friend who is its mascot β the Maharajah! He's like a friendly king who waves hello to everyone. You might have seen him on the planes or in pictures. He represents the warm welcome you get when you fly with Air India. They also used to have a logo with a swan, but now it's a cool pattern inspired by windows. It's like having a friendly face on every flight!
Flying Far and Wide!
Air India flies to so many places, both in India and to other countries! They have different kinds of planes. Some are like speedy buses for shorter trips, and others are like giant floating palaces for super long journeys across oceans.
They even have a special airline called Air India Express for some of their flights. Itβs amazing how these big metal birds can take you from one side of the world to another!
