Afghan Girls Robotics Team

Imagine a team of super smart girls from a country called Afghanistan. They love building robots! These girls are between 12 and 18 years old, and they get together to design and make cool machines.

They are like the superheroes of Herat, Afghanistan, showing everyone what they can do with their brains and creativity. They are called the Afghan Girls Robotics Team, or sometimes the Afghan Dreamers because they have big dreams!

This awesome team started in 2017. It was created by two people named Roya Mahboob and Alireza Mehraban. They wanted to give girls in Afghanistan a chance to learn about science and technology, especially building robots.

They got help from something called the Digital Citizen Fund. It’s like a special club that helps kids learn new things. The team is made up of young girls and their teachers who help them learn and build.

These girls are important because they show that girls can be amazing at science and building things. Even when things are tough, they don't give up on their dreams. They prove that with smarts and hard work, you can achieve anything. They inspire other kids around the world to learn about science and technology and to follow their own passions. They are like shining stars showing the way!

The team builds robots for different challenges. Sometimes they build robots that can help with tasks. For example, they might build a robot that can pick things up or move around.

They have even competed in robot competitions! One time, they built a robot that could help with a problem called a humanitarian crisis, which means helping people who are in trouble. Their robots are not just for fun, they can be very useful!
