A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was a super-smart scientist and a president of India! He was born a long, long time ago, in 1931, in a town called Rameswaram. He loved learning about science, especially how rockets fly and how to build them. He worked for many years helping India make its own rockets and missiles, which is why people called him the 'Missile Man of India'!

After being a brilliant scientist, Kalam became the President of India! That's like being the leader of the whole country. He was president from 2002 to 2007. People loved him so much they called him the 'People's President' because he was so kind and always talked to everyone. He even visited schools and talked to kids just like you!

Kalam was a big part of India's space program. He helped design rockets that could go into space and also helped create special missiles. Think of it like building a super-fast car, but instead of driving on a road, it flies way, way up into the sky! His work helped India become a strong country in science and technology.

Even after being president, Kalam kept learning and sharing his knowledge. He loved to teach and write books. He received many awards for his amazing work, including the highest honor in India, called the Bharat Ratna. He showed everyone that with hard work and a curious mind, you can achieve anything!
