When Neighbors Disagree: Lebanon and Israel in 2024

In October 2024, something serious happened. Soldiers from Israel went into a neighboring country called Lebanon. This wasn't the first time, but it was a really big event.

It happened after a lot of fighting had already been going on between Israel and a group called Hezbollah for almost a whole year. Think of it like a really long argument that suddenly got much bigger and involved lots of people leaving their houses to be safe.

Before the soldiers went in, there were many rockets flying and big attacks. One day, a very important leader of Hezbollah, named Hassan Nasrallah, was targeted. Then, there were huge bombings in Lebanon that sadly hurt many people.
