Small Whale collects very little personal information. We may collect:

• Search queries you type into Small Whale's search box.

Small Whale does not use cookies, and we do not use third‑party analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing is stored on your device, and no one can follow you from our site to another one.

We do count visits so we can see which articles are useful. This is deliberately minimal and anonymous:

• No cookies and no device storage of any kind.
• Your IP address is hashed with a key that changes every day, so it cannot be used to identify you or to follow you from one day to the next.
• We record the page, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer), the browser, the country, and where you arrived from.
• We never record your name, your email, or anything you type.
• Visits from search engine robots are excluded.
• Raw visit records are deleted after 90 days. Only anonymous totals are kept after that.

This means we can see that a hundred people read our dinosaur article, but not who they were. If this ever changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and tell you.

Small Whale is designed for children, but we do not collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. No registration, accounts, or tracking is required to use the site.

• Parents or guardians can contact us to request deletion of any information submitted through the contact form.

• Search queries may be stored temporarily to generate articles but are not linked to individuals.
• Contact form submissions and donation information are stored only as long as necessary to respond or process donations.
