Zhu De

Zhu De started life in a small, poor village. But guess what? A rich uncle helped him go to a special school to learn how to be a soldier!

After school, he joined an army and became a leader, like a captain of a sports team. Later, he joined a big group called the Chinese Communist Party. He led an army called the Eighth Route Army during a big war against Japan and then another big war called the Chinese Civil War.

He was a true hero!

Zhu De is like a superhero in China's history books. He was one of the most important people who helped create the People's Republic of China. Think of it like building a giant LEGO castle; he was one of the main builders!

He was a very wise leader and people listened to him. He was a Marshal, which is like being the captain of all the captains. He was also in charge of a very important group of people for many years until he passed away in 1976.
