Yaakov Dori

Imagine a super important leader who helped start a brand new army! That was Yaakov Dori. He was born a long, long time ago in 1899. His first name wasn't even Yaakov, it was Yaakov Dostrovsky! Yaakov Dori became the very first Chief of Staff for the Israel Defense Forces, which is the army of Israel. Think of him as the head coach of a giant sports team! Besides being a leader, Yaakov Dori was also super interested in how things work. He became the president of a famous school called the Technion.
