The World Trade Center was a group of buildings in New York City, and two of them were super, super tall! They were called the Twin Towers. When they were built, they were the tallest buildings in the whole world! Imagine a building so tall it felt like it could tickle the sky. These towers were like giants standing side-by-side, making everyone look up in wonder.

Building a City in the Sky!

Building these amazing towers took a lot of time and effort. They were finished in 1973. Inside, there was so much space for offices and people working. It was like a whole city inside the buildings! People came from all over to work there and visit. The towers were so big, they could hold about 130,000 people, which is more than many small towns!

Sadly, on September 11, 2001, something very sad happened. Two airplanes crashed into the Twin Towers. This caused big fires and eventually, the towers fell down. It was a very difficult time for New York City and the whole world. Now, a special memorial stands where the towers used to be, remembering everyone who was there.
