Becoming Germany's Big Boss!

William I became the King of Prussia, which was a big part of what is now Germany. He worked with a very clever helper named Otto von Bismarck. Together, they had a big dream: to make all the different German states join together to form one big country called Germany. It was like putting together a giant puzzle! After many battles and smart plans, they did it!

Germany's First Emperor!

In 1871, William I achieved his biggest dream. He was crowned the first German Emperor! This meant he was the leader of the brand-new country of Germany. He was like the captain of a new team. He ruled for many years, making sure Germany was a powerful place. He was a very serious and determined leader who loved his people and his country very much.
