Western Turkic Khaganate

A long, long time ago, there was a huge group of people called the Western Turkic Khaganate. They were like a big family of tribes who loved horses and lived in a land called Eurasia. This big kingdom was formed when an even older kingdom, the First Turkic Khaganate, split into two parts.

Think of it like a giant cookie being broken into two pieces, one for the East and one for the West. These horse lords were super strong and ruled a very large area.

The Western Turkic Khaganate had two special cities where their leaders lived. One was called Navekat, and it was their summer home. The other was Suyab, which was their main home.

Both of these cities were near a river called the Chui River, in a place that is now the country of Kyrgyzstan. Imagine a capital city that was bigger than many football fields put together, filled with people and horses!

The Western Turkic Khaganate had a special name for themselves: Onoq. This name meant 'ten arrows'. It was like saying they were a team of ten, and when they worked together, they were super strong, just like ten arrows shot at the same time!

According to old stories from China, they were organized into ten different groups, each with its own leaders. This made them a very organized and powerful group.

Even though the Western Turkic Khaganate doesn't exist anymore, they were really important a long time ago. They helped connect different parts of the world and were known for their amazing horse riding skills. They were like the superhighways of their time, helping people and ideas travel across vast lands.

Their story shows us how different groups of people came together to form big kingdoms in the past.
