Van Ingen & Van Ingen: Masters of Animal Magic!

Van Ingen & Van Ingen were like super-talented artists who lived a long, long time ago in a place called Mysore, India. They didn't paint pictures; they made animals look like they were still alive! They were especially famous for making tigers and leopards look like they were ready to pounce. People from all over the world wanted their amazing animal creations.

This special company worked for almost 90 years, from 1900 to 1999. Can you believe they made over 43,000 tiger and leopard statues? That's more than the number of kids in a giant school! They had a big factory where they carefully worked on each animal, making sure every whisker and claw looked just right.

The Van Ingen & Van Ingen creations were super special because they looked so real. Kings and queens, called Maharajas, and important people from other countries loved them.
