Væb: The Music Brothers!

Væb is a super cool music group from Iceland made up of two brothers, Hálfdán and Matthías! They make electronic music, which is music made with computers and cool electronic instruments. Imagine a band made of brothers who love to make sounds that make you want to dance! They are like a musical dream team from the land of ice and fire.

Guess what? Væb got to represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025! That's a huge music competition where countries send their best singers and bands. They sang a song called 'Róa'. Even though they didn't win first place, they finished in 25th place out of many countries, which is still amazing! It's like getting a really good score on a big test.

Not only did Væb perform at Eurovision, but they also won another awesome award! They were named 'Performer of the Year' at the Sögur Children's Award Festival. This means lots of people thought they were the best performers at that festival. It’s like winning the trophy for being the most talented kid on the playground!

Hálfdán was born in 2003 and Matthías was born in 2004, so they are brothers who grew up together. They probably spent a lot of time playing and making music together. It's really special when siblings can create something so amazing that the whole world can hear. They show that working together can lead to big dreams coming true.
