The Triple Crown: A Horse Race Adventure!

The Triple Crown races happen in the United States, a big country with lots of different places! The Kentucky Derby is in Louisville, Kentucky, where the weather is usually warm in May. The Preakness Stakes is in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Belmont Stakes is in Elmont, New York. These places have green fields and sometimes sunny skies, perfect for speedy horses!

These amazing races didn't all start at the same time. The Kentucky Derby is the newest, starting in 1875. But the idea of winning all three races became super famous when a horse named Sir Barton did it in 1919! It's like a special club that only a few horses get to join.
