Thimphu: The Magical Mountain Capital!

Imagine a city nestled high up in the mountains, like a secret hideaway! That's Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. It sits in a beautiful valley surrounded by tall peaks. The city is built along a river called the Wang Chhu. It's so high up, it's like being on top of a very tall hill, but much, much higher! This special place is in the country of Bhutan, far away in Asia.

Thimphu wasn't always the capital. A long time ago, another city called Punakha was the most important. But in 1955, Thimphu became the new capital. It's like when your school gets a new principal!
