Theodoric I

Imagine a king who was super strong and very important a long, long time ago! That was Theodoric I. He was a king of the Visigoths, which was a group of people who had their own kingdom. He was a leader who made big decisions and helped his people. He lived in a time when kingdoms were growing and changing a lot. He was known for being a brave warrior and a smart ruler.

Theodoric ruled a kingdom that was mostly in a place called Hispania, which is now Spain and Portugal. It was a huge area, much bigger than your school playground! He was so brave that he even died fighting in a big battle called the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains. This shows how much he cared about his people and his kingdom.

His kingdom was one of the first big kingdoms in that part of the world. He showed that leaders could be strong and smart, and that they had to protect their people.
