The Bacchae

He tricks King Pentheus into dressing up like a woman and going to one of the wild mountain parties. This is a big mistake for the king, and things get very, very serious. It shows that you shouldn't mess with a god!

The Bacchae was written by a famous playwright named Euripides, who lived over 2,400 years ago! Even though it's super old, people still read and perform this play today.
