This spot was super important a long, long time ago because it was right where big lands met, like a crossroads for ancient travelers and traders.

A City That Saw It All!

Taxila is so old, it was around even before castles and knights! It started about 3,000 years ago. Over its long life, many different groups of people ruled here, like the ancient Greeks and a big empire called the Kushan Empire. It was even visited by Alexander the Great! Sometimes, when new rulers came, they would build their own cities right on top of the old ones, making layers of history!
