A Soccer Team's Wild Ride!

Once upon a time, a Brazilian soccer team called Santa Cruz needed money. So, they went on a super long trip, playing games in different cities far away. This trip was called the 'Suicidal Tour' because so many tricky things happened!

It was like a really long school field trip, but instead of visiting a museum, they played soccer games to earn money for their club. They traveled for months, from January to April, playing at least 26 games!

Adventures on the Amazon!

The team traveled up the amazing Amazon River, which is like a giant, winding water slide! But the journey wasn't all fun. Some players got sick, like when you catch a cold, but much worse. Two players even got very sick and sadly passed away. It was a very sad time for the team. They also had to be careful because of a big war happening far away, which made traveling by boat tricky.

Going Home Was Tricky Too!

Getting back home was another adventure! They couldn't go back by boat because of the war. So, they had to travel by land, playing even more games to pay for the long trip.

On the way, they faced more problems. Imagine someone showing you a fake paper saying you're in trouble, or traveling with people who steal things! They even had two train crashes, which is like a roller coaster going off the tracks!

Why We Remember This Tour

Even though it was called the 'Suicidal Tour' because of all the bad luck, it shows how determined the Santa Cruz team was. They kept playing and traveling to help their club, even when things were super tough. It's a story about facing challenges and not giving up, even when things feel impossible. It reminds us that sometimes, the hardest journeys can teach us the most.
