Sertab Erener

Imagine a singer with a voice so special it can go super high, like a bird singing! That's Sertab Erener. She's a famous singer from Turkey who writes her own songs.

She started her music journey by singing with another famous singer named Sezen Aksu. Sertab's music is like a yummy mix of different sounds, sometimes like music from Europe and sometimes like music from her home, Turkey. She loves to make people happy with her songs!

Sertab began her singing career by helping out other singers, like a musical assistant! Then, with her friend Sezen Aksu's help, she released her very first album. It was called 'Sakin Ol!' and came out in 1992. She made lots of other albums too, and many of her songs became super popular, topping the music charts in Turkey. It was like her songs were the most played on the radio!

One of the most exciting things Sertab did was enter a huge music competition called Eurovision. In 2003, she sang a song called 'Everyway That I Can,' and guess what? She WON! This was a massive win for Turkey, making her a national hero. It was like scoring the winning goal in a big soccer game for her whole country!

After winning Eurovision, Sertab kept making amazing music. She released more albums that were loved by people in Turkey and even in other countries like Germany and France. She even went back to her old style of music sometimes, which her fans really enjoyed. Sertab's music is like a colorful rainbow, with many different styles and feelings!
