Saint Sebastian

He was a soldier for the Roman Emperor, but he also secretly believed in Christianity. He was so brave that he wanted to help other Christians who were in trouble.

He was like a secret helper for people who needed courage. He is remembered as a saint because of his amazing bravery and kindness.

Sebastian was caught being a Christian and the Emperor was very angry. He was tied to a post, like a flagpole, and soldiers shot him with many arrows! It sounds scary, right?

But Sebastian was so strong, he didn't die right away. He was rescued by a kind woman named Irene who helped him get better. This shows how tough he was, even when things were really, really bad.

He was like a superhero who could take a lot of hits!

Guess what? Saint Sebastian is now the special helper, or patron saint, for athletes! Think of all the runners, swimmers, and sports stars – they can ask him for help. He's also known as a protector against sickness, especially during times when lots of people got sick. People used to pray to him to keep them safe from diseases. So, he's a hero for sports and for staying healthy!
