S. M. Krishna

Imagine a grown-up who was like a captain for a big state in India called Karnataka. That was S. M. Krishna! He was born a long, long time ago, on May 1, 1932. He had many important jobs, like being the leader of Karnataka and even a minister who talked to other countries. He was a very busy and important person in India.

S. M. Krishna had a super cool idea when he was the leader of Karnataka. He wanted to make a city called Bengaluru famous for computers and technology. He helped build the roads and make things ready so that lots of computer companies could come there. Now, Bengaluru is known all over the world as a 'computer city' because of his big plans!

Because S. M. Krishna did so many wonderful things for his country, he received a very special award. It's called the Padma Vibhushan, and it's like getting a gold star for being an amazing helper! It's one of the highest honors you can get in India. This shows everyone how much he was appreciated for his hard work and smart ideas.

S. M. Krishna had so many jobs during his life! He was the leader of Karnataka, he was in charge of Maharashtra, and he even spoke for his country to other nations.
