Religious Persecution

Sometimes, people are treated badly or even hurt because of the religion they follow, or if they don't follow any religion at all. This is called religious persecution. It's like if someone made fun of you or wouldn't let you play because you like a different color than they do, but much, much worse.

It happens when a group of people thinks their way of believing is the only right way and tries to make everyone else think or act the same. This can make people feel very sad and scared.
