Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam

This special government didn't have a country all to itself, but it was part of a big country called Vietnam. Vietnam is in a part of the world called Southeast Asia, which is like a big puzzle of countries. Think of it like a special club that was active in South Vietnam, which is the southern part of the country.

It was a place with warm weather and lots of green plants and rice fields. This government was around for a few years, from 1969 to 1975.

This government was like a new team starting a game in 1969. It was created by the government of North Vietnam, which was like a different team playing against the government in South Vietnam. The idea was to have a group that represented people who wanted a different kind of government in the South.

It was a very important time in Vietnam's history, and this government played a big role in what happened next.

Lots of different groups came together to form this government. The main group was called the National Liberation Front, but they were also known as the Viet Cong. Imagine a big playground where different kids decide to form a new club.

They wanted to be heard and have their ideas about how South Vietnam should be run. This government was recognized by many other countries that were friends with North Vietnam.

This government was like a temporary leader, meaning it was there for a while but not forever. It signed an important peace agreement in 1973. Then, in 1975, something big happened called the Fall of Saigon.

After that, this government officially took over the role of running South Vietnam. A year later, in 1976, South Vietnam and North Vietnam joined together to become one country, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
