Meet the Little Horse Friends!

Ponies are like the smaller cousins of horses! They are super strong for their size and have been friends with people for thousands of years. Imagine a pony being as tall as a big dog but much stronger! They come in all sorts of colors and patterns, like a beautiful patchwork quilt. Some have fluffy manes and tails that look like they're wearing a fancy scarf. They love to run and play in fields.

Where Do Ponies Live?

Ponies can be found all over the world! Many live in grassy places like meadows and fields where they can munch on grass all day. Some wild ponies even live in cold places, like the chilly islands of Scotland, where they have thick coats to stay warm. They are very good at finding food and shelter, even in tough weather. They often live in groups called herds, which helps them stay safe.

What's a Pony's Favorite Snack?

Ponies are herbivores, which means they only eat plants! Their favorite food is grass, and they can eat a lot of it. They also enjoy hay, which is dried grass, and sometimes they get yummy treats like apples or carrots. They have strong teeth that help them chew tough plants. They spend a lot of their day looking for tasty greens to eat and digest their food slowly.

Ponies Through Time!

People have loved ponies for a very, very long time. Long ago, people used ponies to help them carry things and travel. They were like the first trucks and cars! Ponies helped build things and explore new places. Even today, ponies are used for riding, especially for kids learning to ride, and for helping people with jobs. They are loyal friends who have been by our side for ages.
