Where Do Pigs Live?
Wild pigs, also called wild boars, used to roam all over Europe, Asia, and North Africa. They liked to live in forests and grassy areas where they could find lots of yummy food. Today, most pigs live on farms all around the world with people who take care of them.
Domestic pigs have been raised by humans for thousands of years, making them one of the oldest farm animals. They are found on farms in almost every country!
What's a Piggy's Favorite Snack?
Pigs are omnivores, which means they eat almost anything! Their favorite foods include fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and roots that they dig up with their strong snouts. They also enjoy insects and worms.
On farms, they are often fed special grains and food scraps. Pigs have a great sense of smell and can find food hidden underground. They use their snouts like little shovels to uncover tasty treats.
