Pedro Infante was born in a city called Mazatlán, which is by the ocean in Mexico. But he grew up in a nearby town called Guamúchil. He started his amazing career a long, long time ago, in 1939. He worked with his brother, Ángel, on many of his movies. Think of them as a super-talented movie-making team! He was so popular that his songs are still loved today.

Pedro Infante was special because he was a fantastic singer and a great actor. He sang songs called 'rancheras,' which are a type of Mexican folk music. One of his albums was even picked as one of the best Latin music albums ever made! He also won a big award for acting in a movie called 'Tizoc' at a film festival in Germany. That's like winning an Oscar for acting!

Sadly, Pedro Infante's story ended too soon. He was flying in a small airplane to go to a city called Mexico City. But, oh no, the airplane's engine stopped working, and the plane crashed. This happened a long time ago, in 1957. Even though he's not here anymore, people still remember his amazing music and movies, and his songs are played and loved by many.
