Pedestals of Biahmu

Long, long ago, in ancient Egypt, a powerful pharaoh named Amenemhat III built two HUGE statues. These statues were so tall, they would make a giraffe look tiny! But time passed, and the statues crumbled away.

Now, all that's left are the giant stone feet, called pedestals. They are like the leftover shoes of ancient giants, standing on the edge of a big lake. It's like finding a giant's footprint on the beach, but much, much bigger!

These amazing giant feet used to stand near a beautiful, big lake called Lake Moeris. Today, the place is called Biahmu, and it's a village not too far from a city called Faiyum in Egypt. Imagine standing on the edge of a lake and seeing these enormous statues towering over you!

Even though the statues are gone, the stone bases are still there, showing us how grand they once were. They are like ancient puzzle pieces telling a story.

These pedestals are super cool because they show us how creative and powerful the ancient Egyptians were! They could build things that were bigger than anything we can imagine today. Even though we can't see the whole statues anymore, the pedestals are like a secret message from the past.

Today, when people visit Biahmu, they can see the big stone bases where the giant statues once stood. They are like the bottom parts of two enormous shoes. The rest of the statues, made of stone, have long since broken and disappeared.

But these pedestals are still there, like sturdy foundations. They are a reminder of a time when giant statues watched over the land, a truly awesome sight from ancient Egypt!
