Even though it was small, it was a very important ship!

A Big Adventure!

Christopher Columbus wanted to find a new way to reach Asia by sailing west. So, he set sail with his three ships, including the Niña. They sailed for many, many days without seeing land. It must have been a little scary, but also very exciting! The Niña was a great ship for this journey because it was fast and could handle the big ocean waves. It helped Columbus and his crew reach new lands.

What Was Life Like on the Niña?

Life on the Niña wasn't like a vacation! The sailors slept on the ship, ate simple food, and worked hard to steer the ship and fix the sails. It was a very crowded place with many people living and working together. They had to be brave and strong to sail across the vast ocean. The Niña was their home and their way to explore the unknown world.

Why the Niña is Famous!

The Niña is famous because it was part of a very important journey that changed the world. It helped Christopher Columbus discover lands that Europeans didn't know about before. Even though it was just a ship, it played a big role in history. It shows us that even small things can be part of big adventures and make a difference!
