Newgrange

Newgrange is like a super old, giant grassy hill made of stones! It's in a place called Ireland, near a river. It's so old, it was built even before the famous pyramids in Egypt and Stonehenge. It's not just a hill, though. Inside, there's a long, dark tunnel made of big rocks that leads to a special room. People built this amazing place a super, super long time ago, around 5,000 years ago!

The coolest thing about Newgrange is its secret. Once a year, on the shortest day (called the winter solstice), the sun shines through a tiny window at the top of the tunnel. This magical beam of light travels all the way down the dark passage and lights up the special room inside!
