Morten Harket

Imagine a super-talented singer with a voice that can reach super high notes! That's Morten Harket. He's the lead singer for a famous band called A-ha. They made a super popular song called 'Take On Me' that lots of people still love to sing along to. Morten was born a long, long time ago, in 1959, in a country called Norway. He's like the captain of his band, leading them to make awesome music!

Before Morten was singing in front of thousands of people, he was singing in smaller places called clubs in a city called Oslo. He used to sing with a band that played a music style called blues. Then, in 1982, he joined up with his bandmates to form A-ha.

It was like finding the perfect puzzle pieces to make amazing music together. They practiced and practiced until they were ready to share their songs with the world.

Morten Harket's voice is so special that he's been recognized by the King of Norway! He was even given a special award called a Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav. This is a super big honor, like getting a gold star for being extra good at something. It shows how much his music has made people happy and how famous he is for singing Norwegian music all around the world.

Morten and his band A-ha have made so many songs, like a giant box of musical toys! They've released 11 albums, which are like big collections of their songs. And their song 'Take On Me' was so popular it was number one everywhere! Morten has also made his own music by himself, releasing six solo albums. He's always creating new sounds for us to enjoy.
