Michele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann is a person who worked as a politician in the United States. She was born a long time ago, on April 6, 1956. Imagine a grown-up who spent many years helping to make rules and decisions for the country.

She was a part of the U.S. House of Representatives, which is like a big meeting room where important people talk about laws. She even tried to become the President of the United States, which is the biggest job in the country!

Michele Bachmann grew up in Iowa and then moved to Minnesota when she was a teenager. She went to college and studied a lot. Before becoming a politician, she worked with taxes, which is about money people give to the government.

Then, she decided to get involved in politics to help her community. She started by working in the Minnesota Senate and then moved on to the U.S. House of Representatives, which is in Washington, D.C.

That's a very long way from Minnesota!

She helps teach and guide students who want to learn about government.
