Michael Tait

Imagine a super talented singer named Michael Tait! He was born a long, long time ago, on May 18, 1966. For many years, he sang in awesome music groups that lots of people loved. He was like a rock star for Christian music, sharing happy and inspiring songs. He even won some shiny Grammy awards, which are like super special gold trophies for music!

Michael Tait didn't start out famous. When he was in high school, he met his friends Toby McKeehan and Kevin Max. They all went to college together and decided to form a band called DC Talk. This band became super popular, like a whole playground full of friends singing together! They made five amazing albums that everyone wanted to hear.

After DC Talk took a break, Michael didn't stop singing! He started his own band, which was like him being the captain of a new music ship. This band played music for many years. Then, he joined another famous band called Newsboys. He was their lead singer for a really long time, from 2009 all the way until 2025. That's like singing for your entire school career!
