Mia Love

Ludmya "Mia" Love's journey into public service began with a solid foundation in local governance. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 6, 1975, to Haitian immigrant parents, she was raised with a strong work ethic and a commitment to civic engagement. After graduating from the University of Hartford, Love's political career took root in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

She served on the City Council before being elected mayor in 2010. This period of local leadership provided her with invaluable experience in community development, constituent services, and the practicalities of policy implementation.
