Who is Mark Dayton?
Imagine a person who was in charge of a whole state! That was Mark Dayton. He was the governor of Minnesota for eight whole years, from 2011 to 2019.
Before that, he was a United States Senator, which means he worked in Washington D.C. to help make laws for the whole country. He also used to be the Minnesota State Auditor, making sure the state's money was spent wisely. He was part of a political team called the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party.
